Torque converters are the component that made the modern automatic transmission possible, transferring power from the engine to the rest of the drivetrain without the use of a clutch. Even though we’ve all used them, few of us understand what’s actually going on inside or how they’re built.


When it comes to dirt, sprint cars are not only one of the most popular powerhouses on the track, but they are also one of the fastest. But when a sprint owner has an idea and way too much time on his hands, the dirt car will quickly become a beast of a different nature.


Dual fuel pressure regulators are now available to drag racers from JEGS. The dual fuel regulator eliminates the hassle of multiple fittings, hoses, and brackets on multi-regulator systems and replaces it with a billet aluminum single inlet setup which features dual, independently adjustable regulators.


Fore Precision has released their new line of “F” series regulators. The “F” series provides minimal pressure variations in high output and multi-pump fuel systems as well as many other features.


The 2009 PRI show is well over with and people are already getting ready for this year’s trade show, but we have one more thing from the show we want to let out before it is too late. We had model Katie Brown outside of the powerTV booth and when she wasn’t too busy we asked her a few questions.


K1 Technologies has developed a new set of stroker rods for LS-based engines. The rods are designed for big displacement blower and nitrous applications.


GZ Motorsports has introduced their new Super Pro Vacuum Pump. The new 2010 design gives the new pump tighter tolerances which will produce 26% more air flow over other pumps claims GZ. The pump also features low friction wipers for trouble free consistent vacuum levels.


Canton Racing Products has recently introduced their latest in Ford windage solutions. The Ford specialized windage trays are designed for 428 FE stock or aftermarket blocks with front or rear sump oil pans and 4.6 or 5.4L engines with stock or aftermarket oil pans.

ATI Performance Products has introduced the new ATI modifed Tilton Super Starter. The new starter is compatible with the Mopar Drag Pak Challenger with a 904 transmission. It features a billet nose adapter and a 3hp motor.


Design Engineering has now introduced the new CryO2 Fuel Chiller system. The new fuel chilling system uses cryogenic chamber technology to ‘super cool’ the fuel on the way to the engine, increasing fuel density which allows better performance.


Ross Racing Pistons has introduced a new lightweight forged piston for 800+ cubic inch engines with 5.3″ bore spacing. Ross’s side relief pistons come in bore sizes from 4.875″-5.125″ with options such as internal milling, radial or top gas porting, and numerous coatings. Jon Kasse has developed a series of Boss Nine engines featuring intake manifolds for 4150, 4500, and tunnel-ram carburetors, EFI conversion, and stack injection. Now, Kaase Racing Engines is proud to introduce their latest, a blower version. The blower will push the engine over the 700 horsepower mark and toward 1,000 on pump gas. The engines are available from 429-600cid with either a forged or billet crank. Jon Kaase has a lot to say about the latest in his badass lineup of Boss Nines.


E3 spark plugs has no doubt been heavily involved in many types of racing sponsorship recently. From the back yard ‘grassroots’ racing, all the way up to major events such as the Lucas Oil Off Road Series, E3 has been a heavy contributer in making it possible to view the motorsports world through the television.


It was the first outing at the NHRA Get Screened America Pro Mod Challenge, for the Parise Racing team. Unfortunately, there was only one spot open, for the two car husband and wife team. Dina Parise became the first Parise to run the Pro Mod Challenge at the NHRA SuperNationals in EnglishTown, NJ.

TCI Automotive has introduced the new high performance machined flexplate. The high performance flexplate is designed to bolt up to the LSA and LS9 engines. TCI designed it to prevent cracking and breakage. Each 3/16″ thick A36 steel flexplate is tested for durability, balanced, and electro-coated for protection against vibration as well as weather.

This specially designed fluid originated in the professional racing world, but is now available for performance street applications as well. The special formula consists of extreme pressure agents, foam inhibitors, and thermal stability which insures a longer transmission life. B&M’s Trick Shift is available for anything from street, strip, and offroad, to heavy duty fleet use.


In today’s society, seeing high school students involve themselves in positive, constructive surroundings is a rare occurrence. However, if you were in Fort Worth, Texas last weekend, May 8th, you would have witnessed eight outstanding groups of teens from all over Texas and Oklahoma converge for the third annual Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Challenge division 4 championship.

Model Shoots are that time of the month to take a pretty girl in a nice car and drive around southern California. Though this day was not one to have a ’68 Camaro – it was HOT. Construction traffic mixed with rush hour traffic almost caused a dangerous situation in the way of make-up. Luckily, a day unscathed in the powerTV model shoot books and we were able to shoot plenty of photos to take home. Check out the best ones by reading more.


Welcome to the June edition of the powerTV model shoot. Our last model was the beautiful Briana Lee, posing with a Camaro. This month we selected Pomona, California resident Ashley Bates to be our model, and because we couldn’t leave the blue oval guys hanging we opted to have her pose with a super clean Mustang.


Miss Genna comes from beautiful Orange County, California and is only 20 years old. She is StangTV’s Race Pages featured Model of the month. She was a former Cheerleader, so she polished off all of her old moves for our cameras. She said she found cheerleading a rough sport – and she took her share of spills.


Say hello to the beautiful brunette Angie Dick who is our featured Model of the Month for Feb 2008. She is originally from Northern California, but she lives in San Diego. She is a infamous Hooters Girl in San Diego so drop by and say hello!


A nursing student, we’d volunteer to be one of her patients. Heather Lorraine was featured in the Sept 2007 Race Pages/powerTV shoot!


From Santa Monica, California, this 25 year old is veteran at modeling. She was even a star in the Lingerie bowl! She has been modeling since 18, and likes to surf and party like a rock star.


Carla says she is a mutt, and that an ideal first date would be getting roses and being taken to Sushi! We loved how she said, “powerTV baby – don’t touch that dial”…


Here’s a girl that could kick your ass in person and on the dance floor. Jenae Noonan is a martial artist, a car girl, and a dancer. She doesn’t know her measurements though…


August 2007 Featured Babe of the Month was Arrian. She loves Hot Rods and Muscle Cars, but also is a fan of lifted trucks!


Shot in July 2007, Nicolette is a native of Davenport, Iowa but made her way to San Diego to try her hand at a modeling career. Nicolette likes to dance at clubs, and said “dancing with the girls is fun”, also. We’re just going to close our eyes and imagine that on our own.
