Following an all-too-familiar trend, Dallas Raceway Park in Crandall, Texas announced last week that it would be closing its gates. The announcement on the tracks website stated the closure was due to “hard economic times and financial reasons.”

Dallas Raceway Joins Other Struggling Tracks, Closes Its Gates
Beginning in January 2012, former IHRA Top Fuel champion and NHRA standout Tommy Johnson, Jr., and Kathy Fisher, former IHRA and NHRA Sportsman champion will host Fox Sports Networks brand new show, Performance TV.
The American Drag Racing League’s 2011 tour came to a close Sunday evening with their awards gala, held at the Champions Club within Texas Motorplex. The league recognized their new 2011 World Champions in each of their six categories, along with the “Battle For The Belts” winners.

Modular Mustang Racing says that the block is “pricey,” but saves over 100 pounds, and is the strongest 5.4L block currently available.
