Jeg Coughlin Jr., a 52-time Pro Stock winner, is looking forward to the looming Winternationals—and with good reason. In a recent test session in Bradenton, Florida, Coughlin set a new personal best—with ETs in the 6.40s, hovering around 213 mph.


Lucas Oil and MavTV announced their sponsorship of longtime pro stock racer Greg Stanfield on Tuesday. Stanfield will be taking on the competition this season in the MavTV/Lucas Oil Chevy Camaro beginning next month at the Winternationals in Pomona.

Following an all-too-familiar trend, Dallas Raceway Park in Crandall, Texas announced last week that it would be closing its gates. The announcement on the tracks website stated the closure was due to “hard economic times and financial reasons.”

Jeg Coughlin, Jr. added two more wins to his record last weekend at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He won Friday’s event, worth $5,000, and promptly moved into Saturday’s events, netting another $10,000 paycheck in the Big Bucks event, part of the Tenn-Tuck bracket race.


On the weekend of September 23-25, Holcomb Motorsports will once again host the 16th edition of their highly-anticipated Outlaw Civil Wars event at the Rockingham Dragway in Rockingham, North Carolina, featuring drag races, a car show, swap meet, and an extensive vendor midway.


Modular Mustang Racing says that the block is “pricey,” but saves over 100 pounds, and is the strongest 5.4L block currently available. The block’s features include a different sized main oil galley and freeze plugs, coated aluminum bore (rather than the steel cylinder liner), improved oil drain back holes, etc.
