From out of the ashes the Outlaw 8.5 program is making a comeback at London Dragway. The class, which had nearly gone nonexistent with dwindling car numbers over the last couple of years, underwent a rules change for the 2013 season, and optimism is high! The ADRL Spring Drags IV that was held a few days back at Cordova Dragway Park in Illinois was nothing short of a weekend fulfilled with exciting racing action. Arnie “The Farmer” Beswick contributed to the thrill as well, as during one of his big flashy burnouts he left the crowd and announcer chattering!
For over five decades, the Marion County International Raceway, has been home to adrenaline pumping racing action. Founded by brothers, Bill and Tom Guthery, the raceway began it’s life back in 1969 and is now up for sale according to a recent announcement.
For a handful of selected individuals the next few weeks have been highly anticipated as the 2013 Chevrolet COPO Camaro is scheduled to begin being delivered. May 3rd will mark the beginning of the drag-strip-ready Chevrolet to be handed over to the eagerly awaiting buyers.
Ever wondered what it would be like to take a pass down the strip disguised as a fireball of fury? From a multitude of different camera angles, ride along with Australian driver Simon Travaglini, as he pilots his Ford Falcon down the strip masquerading as a blazing inferno.

With the help of the folks at Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing School, California-girl Julie Braskett made good on a promise she made to her late father and former racer Dave Braskett before he passed away: that she would get her NHRA competition license.
Love them or hate them, the Mustang Fox body is a platform that has been frequently used for a multitude of engine and drive train combos in the racing world.
