It’s the last major, and certainly largest, doorslammer drag race of the year this weekend in Vegas for Street Car Super Nationals. From 46 Pro Street to 26 Outlaw 8.5 cars, the classes are packed. With cool, overcast weather look for some record breaking runs this weekend.

Throughout the weekend of October 5-7, the ground was shaking on the west coast and it wasn’t because of an earthquake. Close to 200 racers and countless spectators had gathered for the 2012 Pacific Street Car Association (PSCA) West Coast Nationals sponsored by Mickey Thompson.

Saturday’s Outlaw 10.5 qualifying in Fontana, California for the PSCA Hughes Performance California Nationals was a combination of extreme highs and lows for Chris Alston, Jr. – After running 6.719 at 212.66 MPH to capture the number one spot in the first round, disaster struck in the final qualifying session.
The 2011 Pacific Street Car Association tour heads to Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada this weekend for the second round of the season, and the first appearance of the Pro Street class in competition this year. We will be bringing you all the heads-up racing action from The Strip all weekend long.
