VP Racing Fuels is well known for their winning ways when it comes to fueling a race car. To complement their line of performance fuels comes a new product engineered for racers: full synthetic racing oil. Expanding from their break-in oil, which is a big deal for racers using VP fuel, the addition of a competitive racing oil completes the mix for VP consumers.

The low-friction high end oil is said to last longer for competition and extend racing, and is due to hit the market within the next 60 days. “This is race-only oil,” says VP’s Chris Wall, “It’s not something that you’ll put in a street vehicle, it’s strictly for competition.”

The race oil is geared more towards the SCCA and road racing, with a possible overlap into some drag racing applications. The oil will be available in 5W30, 10W40, and 15W50 weights. For street use, their Madditives line includes products for fuel systems, including diesel.

VP will be celebrating 40 years in the industry in 2015, and they have big plans to increase their technical and educational tips for consumers. Expect to see a “40 reasons to use VP Racing Fuel” and other unique historical bits throughout the year. Wall said they want to help educate their customers more on fuels, saying that they realize with 50 blends it can get confusing. “We want to better educate our customers to help them make the right choices when it comes to racing fuels,” Wall said.
