PRI 2016: Billet Specialties Wheels For Street & Strip

1 PRI Show 2016 Billet SpecialtiesWhether you want to sprint down the quarter mile or roll into a cruise night, Billet Specialties new line of WinLite wheels is rugged enough for the track and stylish enough for the street.

“After the success of our Street Lite wheel that’s been out there for a couple years now, we wanted to switch it up a little,” Scott Sandoval the Marketing Manager at Billet Specialties said. “You always have to have something cooler as time rolls on, so we came up with this style here. One of the neat things about it is that we recess the bolt pattern, which pulls a little weight out of it and any time you have a lighter wheel, the 60-foot time improves.”

That something cooler is a new wheel dubbed the WinLite (get it?) that carries SFI certification in a pretty package. Available in 15- and 17-inch versions, this wheel is both lightweight and fetching. Better yet, these wheels are at home on the street or the drag strip.

Billet Specialties’ new street/strip wheel the WinLite is available in 15- and 17-inch sizes, including versions designed for extra brake clearance on Fox and later model Mustangs.

“This is a street/strip wheel so you can cruise it on Saturday night and go race on Sunday,” Scott said. “It will work with a 5/8 lug nut or a regular mag shank, so as you progress you will break axles and rearends and you are always upgrading stuff. The last thing you need to worry about is changing the wheels because you have 5/8 studs on your axle broke.”

Flexible and durable, the WinLite is available in single- and double-beadlock variants and can even be had in a 17x 4 ½-inch versions for modern performers like the Mustang. This wheel is not, however, limited to the latest Mustangs.

“We also offer a Fox-body specific wheel, which would be a 15×10 with a 6 ½-inch backspace,” Scott said. “The nice thing about it is it has the extra brake clearance.”

In addition to the new WinLite wheels, Billet Specialties expanded its popular Street Lite line with a new variation.

Billet Specialties also expanded it Street Lite line with this new design, which is available in single and double beadlock versions.

Billet Specialties also expanded it Street Lite line with this new design, which is available in single- and double-beadlock versions.

“New to the Street Lite wheel line, we do offer the single bead lock in sizes 15×8 through 15×15 in multiple backspaces,” Scott said. “We are also offering those styles in 18 through 20-inch. If the guy really likes the styling, but he wants a bigger diameter—not necessarily for the performance, but he likes the look—we’ve got ’em covered there too. If a guy has a late-model muscle car and a race car, he can have matching wheels.”
