At last, the news that racers and fans in the New England area have been waiting to hear – 275 drag radial events have finally been officially announced to take place at New England Dragway in Epping,NH this year. It shouldn’t be much of a surprise that an event like this is branching out across the east coast and becoming bigger, as the car counts at various ORTC and X275 events have been spectacular for a relatively fresh series. As what I’d consider to be a ‘local’ to the area, I find this new event particularly awesome.

After a little bit of schedule shuffling, the official dates are: July 10th, August 21st, and October 17th. As for the rules, it’ll follow X275’s rule layout which can be read here. Overall, the idea is solid so long as the cars show up – the event organizer has hopes of gathering 50 cars to show the folks who run New England Dragway how badass this class really is. As of now, a few racers have already shown their support and commitment to run these races – hopefully the support continues at a steady pace since after all, July isn’t all that far away.

With that being said, if you’re in the local area, why not come out and support this race? Bleachers full of fans, along with a decent car count is what it’s going to take to prove this series is worth keeping.
