Aerospace Components NHRA Unleashed Program To Conclude In 2014

The Aerospace Components NHRA Unleashed program, which has been a part of NMCA & NMCA WEST events since mid-2011, will conclude with the final event in 2014. Having similar race categories, NMCA assisted NHRA by taking over the Unleashed program in mid-2011 to support their racers and sponsors. The Unleashed program continued with NMCA/NMCA WEST through a multi-year sponsorship for almost four years.

“Since we had the only series outside of NHRA that was able to award Wallys to racers, it was very special,” said Steve Wolcott, President & CEO of ProMedia Events. “We understood that the program would only last a few years and we were happy that we were able to partner with NHRA to bring their Unleashed program to a very deserving group of racers.”

All NMCA & NMCA WEST racers (in points classes only) will continue to receive event winner Wallys through the end of the 2014 season. ProMedia Events is currently working on a custom trophy design for NMCA, NMCA WEST, and NMRA that represents the high level of prestige our racers have to come to enjoy. “Recognizing just how important special awards are to our racers, NMCA, NMCA WEST, NMRA and Aerospace Components are working to develop awards that are custom and exclusive to our three series,” said Wolcott. “All three series have grown dramatically because we showcase the World’s Fastest Street Cars and it’s time that we present our own extra special award that is truly exclusive to our style of drag racing.”

“We are very honored and blessed to have been able to participate with NHRA, NMCA and NMCA WEST in support of the Unleashed program the past 4 years,” said Kimberly Kussy, Owner & Vice President of Aerospace Components Inc. “The racers and families we have met in the winners circle were always appreciative of our company’s support and we look forward to staying intimately involved with NMCA, NMCA WEST and NMRA in the future.”

NMCA, NMCA WEST, and NMRA are NHRA alternative sanctioning organizations (ASO’s) and both companies remain committed to producing the best drag racing events in the country. Each season ProMedia produces numerous successful events at NHRA member tracks including Atlanta Dragway (Commerce, GA), Lucas Oil Raceway (Indianapolis, IN), and Auto Club Raceway (Pomona, CA).
