Certain high-performance products that go on your racecar need to go through an evolution process to be improved. The need for those changes can come from other changes in technology, or a new need for racers. Atomizer Racing Injectors is known for taking customer feedback and molding new products around it. Their new injector with an integrated -4 male inlet, fuel distribution block, and blower hat injector are all born from the needs of their customers.
Jack French and his team at Atomizer Racing Injectors saw a clear opportunity to improve a product based on the feedback they received from customers. “When we first came out with the fitting-style injectors, the design was something that Todd Tutterow wanted. It was set up where you could screw one of the bronze blower fuel jets into and hook a hose up to it. Then, we got other customers like the turbo guys that wanted to have an integrated -4an male fitting on the injector. We designed that based on their feedback.”
The new design created a slight issue for fuel distribution, so French designed a new fuel block that will work with the injectors, and can be used in a 4, 8, or even 16 injector application. The blocks are in the anodizing process right now and should be ready soon.
This setup also gives racers the option to clock their injectors to different positions as needed if they’re short on space. The injectors also remove possible leak points in high-pressure fuel systems that are in many big horsepower setups.
If that wasn’t enough, Atomizer Racing Injectors has created a new injector for blower cars. “What we’ve done is create a new blower hat injector design where the injector screws right into the side of the blower hat. The tip is of the injector is right in the air stream so all of that atomized fuel is right there going in. That’s never been done before and just introduces the atomized fuel flow right into the airstream,” French explains.
