There’s a great drag racing resource out there that all drag racing enthusiast should keep close to their hip: the Dragstrip Finder, which is hosted by both The Staging Light [2] and Drag Race Results [3]. In browsing these comprehensive finders, you might find that there’s a track not far from you to check out, and such a tool can be quite handy when out of town and visiting an area that you’re not not too familiar with. If you have some free time or just feel adventurous, you might want to check out the local action at one of the area tracks.

These dragstrip directories list over 390 dragstrips from all over the world, with Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the Caribbean just a few of different areas you’ll find a place to fulfill your need for speed.

In the United States, we’re lucky to have around 200 dragstrips at our disposal. You’ll find the most tracks in Texas – which is known for being “Big” on everything – boasting 28 tracks for drag racing. North Carolina is second with around 22, while Alabama has 20. Some tracks are not on either of the lists and some are not in operation any longer, and as such, you should always call the track before venturing off to find one that you’ve never been to before. It’s a great way to make a trip a little more exciting and check out some cool cars.
