eBay Find: One-Of-A-Kind Pro Street ’92 Geo Tracker

[1]

Your eyes are not deceiving you here, ladies and gentleman. What you’re looking at really is a Geo Tracker – you know, that abomination you would’ve gladly chosen riding the bus over driving in high school – with the Pro Street treatment. Sort of, anyway.

The very premise of the automotive hobby has been the endless creativity and enguiniety revolving inside the minds of gearheads, and while deterring anyone from creating what they’ve dreamt up goes completely against the code of automotive enthusiasts, just because you can build it, doesn’t necessarily mean you should.

This ’92 Tracker [2], according to the seller on eBay, “is a totally awesome ride and I get people snapping their necks everywhere I go trying to get a look at it and thumbs up all over the place.” Much of the information seems to point out the relative lack of technical understanding by the owner, but the jist of it is that a mildly-bult 305-inch small block Chevy has been shoehorned under the hood, with an Edlebrock Performer intake, Edelbrock carburetor, and other entry-level performance parts.

With a Ford 9-inch housing under it, a 10-point roll cage, and tubs with 15×15 Weld Wheels wrapped in some big street radials out back, this thing is definitely one of a kind, but that’s about the only selling point it has in its favor.

Between the motorcycle-esque wheelbase, the seeming lack of any front brakes, and welds on the roll cage that Stevie Wonder might’ve performed, this Geo is better served with a visit to the crusher than finding a new home.
