The Pro Street car movement really took off in the 1980’s and into the early 1990’s. There was a real need for something new in the car scene, and Pro Street cars fell right into that void. A typical Pro Street car from this time period would look like it was peeled right off the drag strip, had a set of license plates slapped on it, and turned loose on public streets. Most of these cars would be sporting a huge blower sticking out of the hood, or cowls with big nitrous-huffing bullets for power. You’d also expect to see a full back half and tub job done on the car with all the trimmings.
