EKanoo Racing’s RCF Blasts Middle East 1/4-Mile Pro Mod Records!

Bahrain’s Ebrahim Kanoo and his EKanoo Racing team are back to their record-smashing ways, and they’ve only just begun as the Middle East racing season ramps up.

From the import dominance from years past, to the new Nissan GTR project, EKanoo Racing is always working to be the greatest team in drag racing in today’s world. The latest and possibly, greatest, project to come out of the EKanoo Racing cactory is the Pro Modified Lexus RCF that we filled you in on last month here at Dragzine.

With Pro Line Racing's HEMI and a set of twin Gen2 turbochargers on board, this beast is pumping out a hefty amount of horsepower for the brain trust to harness and loosen the reigns on as each pass goes down.

At just the fifth test day at the Bahrain International Circuit, the EKanoo team has taken the new RCF from concept to contender. As the 1/8-mile testing began and Khalid Mohammad strapped into the Precision Turbo twin turbocharged monster, he clicked off four consecutive runs of 3.82, 3.79, 3.77, and a best lap of 3.74-seconds at 214 mph. After cool down and necessary maintenance after the run, the team rolled back to the lanes for their first 1/4-mile pass with the RCF.

15665379_1647545191941334_4533207088093094476_nTechnical director Shane Tecklenburg, along with all of the EKanoo Racing tuners — Jamie Miller, Josh Ledford and Eric Luzinski — had all of their T’s crossed and I’s dotted on the 521 cubic inch Pro Line Racing HEMI, the custom 4-link suspension, the full array of MoTeC electronics and the driveline, including a M&M Transmission TH400 non-lockup transmission and converter, all primed and ready to stun the world.

At the release of the transbrake, the RCF grabbed hold of the Bahrain International Circuit surface and shot off the starting line like a cannon, recording a .983 sixty foot time, blasting by the 660 foot cones in 3.75-seconds and flashing the scoreboards with the seventh quickest 1/4-mile doorslammer run in doorslammer history and the quickest and fastest door car run ever in the Middle East, 5.547-seconds at 272 mph (438 kmh).

In a great talk with EKanoo Racing technical director, Shane Tecklenburg, he exclaimed, “It’s really remarkable when you sit down and think about it. This car didn’t even exist in September. Now in just five test days at the track, we’ve placed it near the very top of the record books for door cars. It’s a testament to the guys at the Factory here in the Kingdom of Bahrain and EKanoo Racing, the most prominent team in the Kingdom, the creativity and knowledge of my team members, Eric, Jamie, and Josh, and honestly, everyone on the team, because we share information to make sure our cars are running at full potential.

“I’m very lucky and blessed to have been a part of this team for just short of a decade now, thankful to owner Ebrahim Kanoo and team manager, Haider Koohzad, for this opportunity, and Pro Line Racing and Precision Turbo for the horsepower and support, which is second to none. It’s time to celebrate tonight, because tomorrow, we go back to work.”

Now, overall the third quickest door car in the history of 1/4-mile racing, EKanoo Racing is less than a tenth of a second from supremacy with a lot more racing to go during the racing season in Bahrain. Stay tuned to Dragzine for the latest developments and to see if the determined team can claim the record for the country of Bahrain.
