The PDRA is ready to end its offseason with a huge gathering of Pro Mod muscle at GALOT Motorsports Park April 5-7 for the 2018 East Coast Spring Nationals. When the gates open at GALOT Motorsports Park to welcome the PDRA for 2018 it will usher in another stellar year of racing for the organization. Racers will have the opportunity to kick off their season at one of the finest tracks in the world and the spring weather could lead to records falling in droves. The fans that pack the stands at GALOT will be treated to some amazing early season racing that will set the stage for the 2018 PDRA points battles.

The East Coast Nationals will be the 2018 debut for the doorslammers in Outlaw 10.5 and the wicked-fast competitors of the new Elite 16 Top Dragster class. Each of these categories brings their own flair and gobs of horsepower to the PDRA. If you like wicked-fast door cars on small tires, or dragsters that can run deep into the three-second zone, each of these classes will have something for you.

In the Pro Extreme category, Mike Recchia will have to begin his title defense against the fastest Pro Mods in the world when the East Coast Spring Nationals begin. The Pro Nitrous championship chase went down to the last race in 2017 between Tommy Franklin and Jay Cox, so you can expect these two world-class racers to pick up their battle again at the start of the 2018 season. 2017 Pro Boost champion Jose Gonzales will bring his El General racing team to GALOT ready to show they can dominate another season of PDRA racing. With the retirement of Cary Goforth in Extreme Pro Stock, the chase to become this class’s champion will be wide open starting at the East Coast Nationals.

Besides all the top-level championship racing at the PDRA East Coast Spring Nationals, there will be a host of electrifying exhibition cars ready to go. Fans will get to see jet cars and wheelstanders hit the track when dusk falls at GALOT Motorsports Park. They can also travel back in time when the old-school supercharged Gassers make their wheels-up passes all weekend.
