Event Preview: Redemption 9.0 At San Antonio Raceway

The Redemption No Prep Series is coming to San Antonio Raceway for Redemption 9.0 September 1-2, and the racing is going to be hotter than summertime in Texas. The best No Prep racers in the country will be packing the lanes at San Antonio Raceway to position themselves at a chance to win the Scoggin and Dickey Raceshop and Chevrolet Performance points championship. As one of the final two stops on the Redemption No Prep Series, Redemption 9.0 will be a make or break race for those trying to secure a series championship. Especially for the Big Tire Outlaw class racers who will be to fighting for a chance to run an exhibition race at the NHRA Fall Nationals. With many of the classes eligible to win a 28-foot race ready enclosed trailer from Phil’s Trailer, all the racers within striking distance of the points lead will do everything they can to pick up a victory. San Antonio Raceway might not be the same after this level of No Prep racing rolls through!

Friday night is going to kick things off at Redemption 9.0 with some of the craziest No Prep machines you will ever see in the Run What’cha Brung class. You can expect to see The 55, Plan B, Shannon Coan, Steve Wiley and Birdman all doing battle Friday night under the lights in this exciting class trying to pick up the prize money. Friday will also feature the Old School Outlaw class where you will see racers like Doc, Chuck, the Godfather, from Street Outlaws lining up in their Big Tire machines to put on a show for the fans.

The Small Tire class racers Brent Self and Pedro Garza have a huge $30,000 grudge race they have locked in for Redemption 9.0. They will be the first pair of cars down the track on Friday during small tire eliminations, so things will be starting off with a bang! After that, you will get to see the True Street, Factory Street, 7.0 Index, and Jr. Dragster racers on the track trying to turn on the win light with the clocks off.

Saturday’s main event races are going to be action packed at Redemption 9.0 and could feature some big-time matchups. At Redemption 8.0 Kayla Morton was able to take down Birdman for a huge win in the Big Tire class and if these two meet again sparks will fly! Saturday will also feature the stars of the Small Tire class like BoostedGT, Kenjo Kelly, Bobby Ducote, Dylan Wells, Jason Cantu and many more all trying to score a win to lock in their chance at winning the Redemption Series title. If all of this racing wasn’t enough the Outlaw Street, Sportsman, Truck Class, 6.50 Index, and 5.80 Index classes will all be on the track too!

Redemption 9.0 has the feel of a heavyweight title fight and is set to rock San Antonio Raceway September 1-2.
