Event Preview: The 45th Annual Snowbird Outlaw Nationals

The 2017 racing season isn’t over yet, so get your suntan lotion back out and get ready for the 45th Annual Snowbird Outlaw Nationals. This long-running event at the Bradenton Motorsports Park will roar to life December 1-3 and showcase some great heads-up action, along with jet cars. The Snowbird Outlaw Nationals packs a whole lot of racing into just three days, so fans get their money’s worth at this event. Racers flock to the Florida facility to be a part of history each year as the great weather and track surface provide an outstanding opportunity for close racing and records to be set.

If you love big tires putting down even bigger amounts of power then you will want to check out the Snowbird Outlaw Nationals. The Outlaw Pro Mod, Open Outlaw, and Outlaw 632 classes all feature cars with obscene amounts of power racing heads-up. There will be Pro Mods and dragsters dipping into the three-second zone all weekend, while the Outlaw 632 class will be packed with low four-second battles.

The small-tire racers will be represented well at the Snowbird Outlaw Nationals with the Pro Drag Radial and Ultra Street classes. In Pro Drag Radial you can expect to see 3,000 horsepower beasts squaring off to see who is king of the radial tire at Bradenton Motorsports Park. The Ultra Street class will have close racing and features a wide variety of power-adders all mixed into one eliminator. The radial tire racing will be on-point all weekend and you won’t want to miss any of the unpredictable action!

There will be plenty of grassroots racing at the 2017 Snowbird Outlaw Nationals that will allow anybody to get in on the action. The index racing will feature 5.50, 6.50, and 7.50 classes that will run throughout the weekend. Racers can also participate in the Pro or Super Pro program if they want in on some bracket competition. Jr. Dragster and Pro Bike racers will also be able to take the track at the Snowbird Outlaw Nationals again in 2017.

The 45th Annual Snowbird Outlaw Nationals wouldn’t be complete without its Night of Fire. Lighting up the Bradenton Motorsports Park sky this year will be Bob Motz in his jet-powered semi-truck, along with Larsen Motorsports and their stable of jet dragsters. Fans will also be treated to Richard Hutchins in his Chevy Rebellion wheelstander.
