The PDRA [2] is ready to ignite their third race of the 2017 season with the PDRA Spring Nationals at the legendary Darlington Dragway May 18-20th. This will be the first time the PDRA has visited Darlington and the event promises to be one for the ages with the toughest Pro Mod racers in the country ready to do battle. Darlington Dragway is a track that just oozes Pro Mod history and many consider this facility one of the first hotbeds for the doorslammer class. The facility has gone through some renovations that’s returned it to its former glory. Fans can expect to see some fast racing and records to be set at Darlington when the PDRA comes to town for the Spring Nationals

The Spring Nationals could be a tipping point in the Pro Nitrous category for the 2017 PDRA season, and it will be the class to watch all weekend. The top five Pro Nitrous racers are all within a few points of each other, and all are capable of winning the event. Can Jay Cox or James Hancock be the first repeat winners of the year, or will someone else win the Pro Nitrous class at the Spring Nationals? One thing’s for sure, the racing will be intense and whoever lands in the winner circle earned it.
The electrifying Outlaw 632 class will be making its second appearance with the PDRA this year at the Spring Nationals. This class is packed with a great variety of nitrous-huffing doorslammers that run in the low four-second range and always put on a great show. The Outlaw 632 class promises to be one of the most exciting of the event, and is a can’t-miss for any PDRA fan.

To provide even more entertainment the PDRA will be bringing back their famous Friday Night Grudge races at Darlington Dragway. PDRA racers will be calling each other out to see who can pick up the win and bragging rights over their fellow racers. You might even get to see another grudge match between “The Madman” Frankie Taylor and the Blazing Angel jet car.
If all that wasn’t enough the Spring Nationals will also have the PDRA’s other amazing classes including Pro Extreme, Pro Boost, Extreme Pro Stock, and Pro Extreme Motorcycle. The sportsman racers will also get their opportunity to show what they can do in Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, Pro Jr. Dragster, Top Jr. Dragster, and Bracket Bash!
