Get ready for a horsepower parade on a grand scale as TX2K17 packs the house at Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas this March 16-19th. The level of cars that will be on the property and making laps down the track is off the charts and something every gearhead will love. TX2K has been going on for nearly two decades and isn’t referred to as the “Super Bowl” of street car racing for nothing!

Over 18 years ago the TX2K event started as a Toyota Supra-only event but has grown into a monstrous gathering of every kind of hoped-up street car imaginable. There’s a unique atmosphere that allows this diverse mixture of insanely fast import, domestic, and exotic cars all occupy the same space. This feeling of “all are welcome” helps make TX2K wildly popular and makes for some great street car racing. You’ll everything from 2,500 horsepower Lamborghinis and GTRs, seven-second Supra’s, Mustangs, and Camaros.
TX2K17 features their prestigious Roll Race Nationals event where cars making well over 2,000 horsepower battle it out to see who can cover 1,500 feet the fastest. You’ll see cars go from 60-220 mph at the Roll Race Nationals, and the variety of cars competing is unprecedented.
If you’re a fan of traditional drag racing TX2K17 will have that with three days of action. There are tons of great classes that include only GTRs, a killer 2JZ-powered class, an exhibition class for those trying to set records, index racing, a Stick Shift Challenge, and more. The biggest drag racing class that brings out all the big dogs is the Street Car Class, which is filled with REAL street cars — Corvettes, Vipers, Camaros, Mustangs, GTRs, and Supra’s all grabbing a lane and racing heads-up.
Besides all this great racing action, TX2K17 will have their famous Night Meet on Friday night where gearheads can get together, free dyno pulls for spectators and racers, and even a bikini contest; this event really is nirvana for anyone that loves horsepower and fast street cars.
