The NMCA’s 2017 season is ready to get started March 9-12th at Bradenton Motorsports Park when the 15th Annual NMCA Muscle Car Mayhem event kicks off. This event will feature new classes, exciting shootouts, and four days of some of the best door car racing you’ll find anywhere. Big performances are expected at Muscle Car Mayhem when the Xtreme Pro Mod class hits the track. This class is known for having some of the best racing in the Pro Mod universe and will be filled with a variety of interesting cars. The NMCA’s version of Pro Stock will also begin its first season as a full championship class at this event; Pro Stock will feature a new breed of naturally aspirated racing that will keep fans on the edge of their seats.
Also making its debut at this event will be the Stock/Super Stock Combo class. The class racing world has been buzzing about this new opportunity for these cars to show what they can do, and fans can expect to see tons of wheels-up racing action when these machines hit the track. Another electrifying class making an appearance at the NMCA season opener will be Outlaw 632 — big cubic-inches and tons of nitrous will be on display as the racers in Outlaw 632 rip off four-second passes in the 1/8-mile.
The factory-built racecars from Detroit will be lining up to see who’s the fastest in the Factory Super Car class at Muscle Car Mayhem, as COPO Camaros, Dodge Challenger Drag Paks, and Cobra Jet Mustangs will all be on the track just like in the heyday of musclecar racing. Not to be outdone, the old school iron in the Nostalgia Muscle Car and Nostalgia Super Stock classes will be racing in their own special shootout at the event to see who’s king of the classics.
All the other great NMCA classes like Radial Wars, Nitrous Pro Street, Street Outlaw, Xtreme Street, NA 10.5, Chevrolet Performance Stock, Open Comp, and True Street will also be running at this season-opening event. Besides all the abundant racing action there will be a huge vendor midway, swap meet, car show, and more all going on during the weekend.
