Fields Set For ADRL’s ‘Battle For The Belts’ At LenMar World Finals

The fields for the ADRL’s special one-day, eight-car Speedtech “Battle For The Belts” shootout, which now awards prize money and bragging rights but no longer decides the world championships, have been set based on the recently completed Summit Racing Equipment Ohio Drags V in Norwalk.

The Battle For The Belts will be contested on October 22 as part of the three-day LenMar Motorsports World Finals VII at the Texas Motorplex in Pro Extreme, Pro Nitrous, Extreme 10.5, Extreme Pro Stock, Pro Extreme Motorcycle, and Pro Junior Dragster. Positions in the lucrative and exclusive field were determined by points earned during the 2011 ADRL Tour based on racing performance, record-breaking runs, and event participation.

The points leader in each class receives a bye run in the opening round, while the No. 7 and 8 qualifiers race to see who advances to face the No. 2 seed in the field. Below is a complete rundown of the seeding and pairings for the opening round of the Battle For The Belts in each category.

Pro Extreme
