Two-time NHRA Pro Stock champion Erica Enders and the Elite Motorsports team unveiled their brand new 2016 Dodge Dart last week, and we’ve received some fresh new photos of the machine that will carry her in her pursuit of a third consecutive title.
After two successful runs to the championship and years in the class with Chevrolet Camaros, Elite Motorsports will move to the Mopar camp this year, with Dodge Darts for Enders and past and returning teammate Jeg Coughlin Jr. Elite will also be central to the Chevrolets fielded by Drew Skillman and Vincent Nobile. The new car, which will carry Mopar, Elite Motorsports, and JEGS livery, was once again built by Rick Jones and his team at RJ Race Cars in Galesburg, Illinois. Jones and his son, Rickie, serve as crew chiefs on the car.
“Rick and Rickie take a lot of pride in the cars they produce,” Enders said. “They both have said these two cars are the best two pieces that have ever come out of their shop. That’s pretty cool.”
The Elite Motorsports team is slated to test in Phoenix in early February, just prior to the season-opening NHRA Winterntionals in Pomona.
