Holley has been known for years as one of the leaders making performance carburetors, fuel injection systems, and fuel pumps. Funny thing is – they are located in Bowling Green, KY and have a racetrack right in their backyard: Beech Bend Raceway Park. When Holley decided to announce on the Holley LS Fest in September of 2010, it was no hard task deciding to have it held at their hometown track. If your vehicle is powered by a GM LS engine, or your thinking about a LS swap in your car, then the LS Fest is the event for you. This event will hold many different activities throughout the three days, including many different awards and prizes.

The LS Fest will include many activities including a drag race, autocross, 0-60-0 speed stop challenge and a show-n-shine contest. Champions will be crowned in all of these activities, as well as a grand champion who attains the highest overall score from all of the events.
The drag racing event will have different classes, including an unlimited class, in order to find the baddest LS powered car out there.
The Autocross will feature wide sweep turns, tight hairpins, and a slalom section that will push the limits of both the LS engines, and the cars they power.
For years, cars have been built to go fast in a straight line with little attention to slowing down. The speed stop challenge will test your cars ability to accelerate fast and stop on a dime. Contestants will launch their vehicles to 60 MPH from a dead stop, then slam on the brakes to bring them to a halt once again.
If the race scene isn’t for you Holley will also be having a countryside cruise that will give the drivers the ability to include the whole family. The cruise will take the participants on a windy journey through Kentucky’s back roads. While the Show-N-Shine gives the cars with nice paint and extravagant chrome a chance for a title. There will be many classes available along with an “Under Construction” class.
Tons of prizes from the industry’s top parts suppliers will be donated and given away at the event. The LS Fest is not just for the owners of the cars, but for their families also. There will be live bands, great food, a swap meet, and other great activities.
Holley will have three of their very own project cars at this event. An ’86 El Camino, ’67 Chevy C10, and a ’74 Chevelle wagon will all be there. These three cars will be equipped with an LS engine and take part in the events – provided they are finished in time. Check back to see the progress of these LS powered vehicles.
