Ending all of the speculation and anticipation, Hot Rod Magazine revealed on Tuesday the first piece of information regarding the 2015 running of Drag Week, giving would-be entrants and spectators a “teaser” to the general region the week-long festival of horsepower will be held.

Drag Week 2015 presented by Gear Vendors is set to kick off with registration, tech inspection, and test and tune on Sunday, September 13th at the Gateway Motorsports Park near St. Louis, Missouri, with the first official day of competition to commence there on Monday before racers hit the road to the next atop on what is without a doubt the most grueling test of man and machine in all of drag racing.

From that central point, the event could head in a number of directions, including tracks like the Beech Bend Raceway Park, Indianapolis, and Route 66 in Chicago to the north and east, Byron and Cordova to the northwest, or perhaps even west to venues in Oklahoma and Kansas. But we’ll just have to wait and see as Hot Rod pulls the wraps off the stops.

One thing is for certain though: just getting registered for Drag Week will be a victory in and of itself, as last year, a record 300+ racers were entered at one point, selling out in mere minutes of the opening of pre-registration.

img_7450-copyDrag Week 2015 is shaping up to be one of best, if not the best events yet, with Larry Larson ready to push his new Chevrolet S-10 into the five-second zone, Tom Bailey expected to debut his stunning new Camaro, and consistent vets like Jeff Lutz and Doug Cline prepared to hoist the hardware should the frontrunners falter on the track or the long miles between each stop.

Keep it tuned right here, as we’ll update this story each day with the list of tracks and dates for Drag Week, as they become available.

September 16 – Great Lakes Dragway, Union Grove, Wisconsin
