You may remember this article from the end of March, where we highlighted the build of an insane 3,000 horsepower twin-turbo big-block Chevrolet at Steve Morris Racing Engines for Steven Neimentas’ unreal Street Eliminator Bentley Continental that’s been under construction at Webster Race Engineering in the UK. 

The car’s all together, and as you can see from the video here, it was out on the track just this past weekend making test hits with Neimentas behind the wheel. As reported previously, the engine is based around a Brodix aftermarket block and cylinder heads to go with a Jesel valvetrain, Steve Morris custom billet intake manifold, and the pair of Bullseye Power 88mm turbochargers to provide the majority of the motivation. At that time, controlled by Turbosmart‘s wastegates and blowoff valves and a sweet Motec electronic fuel injection setup, the engine cranked out 3,082 horsepower and over 32 pounds of boost, running on VP Racing Fuels‘ C16 din0-juice.

Although the car doesn’t set the world on fire in the video, we can tell just from listening to the nasty burnout what’s on tap in the future as they sort out the combination. Our understanding is that the car may be coming across the pond later for some Drag Week activity after they get it all sorted out.

We all know Morris can build power that’s capable of winning at Drag Week, evidenced by Tom Bailey’s incredible ‘Sick Seconds’ Camaro that took home the Unlimited title last year and became the first car to knock off the previously unattainable six-second event average. Will this Bentley become the second car to do it? With that kind of power on tap, it’s only a matter of time – if they make the trip.
