Lancaster, New York-based Jiffy-Tite, one of the leading manufacturers of quick connect fittings for the high performance and racing market, has been putting the finishes touches on a $2.2 million expansion of their headquarters, which began last summer and includes the addition of more than 12,300 square feet. The first phase of the expansion — a $1 million, 5,000 square foot addition that included parking and manufacturing space, was completed in January, with the remainder under construction since that time. in all, the expansion includes a new video conferencing room, a 1,200 square foot engineering department set over the manufacturing area, and 1,300 square feet of warehouse space.

Other additions are video monitors at the employee entrances that display the portraits of the companys’ 273 employees, and a new 3,800 square foot area comprising two floors for the new research and development lab, all intended to help the company manage its steady growth.

The new lab will allow Jiffy-Tite to test its couplings and other parts in-house, and by bringing the engineering and manufacturing areas together, the company hopes to improve upon its product development process.

Along with products for the hot rodding and racing industry, Jiffy-Tite also manufactures quick connect fluid couplers and fittings for hybrid and electric vehicle engines and serves the automative OEM market, making their operations multi-fold. In all, Jiffy-Tite holds 10 patents, has more than 60,000 square feet of manufacturing space, over 32,000 square feet of metal fabrication area, and nearly 3,000 square feet of seas and technology office space. the company produces a staggering 200,000 pieces of product, with over 350 million units in servie around the world.
