For the first time in NHRA racing history, a national event will be ran four-wide instead of the traditional two at zMax. The Top Fuel Dragster, Funny Car, Pro Stock, and Pro Stock Motorcycle classes will all run qualifying and elimination rounds in the four-wide style at zMAX Dragway near Charlotte, NC. When the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series runs at the zMAX Dragway, they will run the classes in the traditional two-lane fashion, having some classes run in the left lanes and others in the right- to help with lane preparation and consistency.
The Full Throttle Drag Racing Series schedule is now available.
When the NHRA received very positive feedback from the four-lane exhibition, they felt comfortable adding it as an official event. History is being made at the zMAX Dragway on March 25-28th, by being the first event to run four wide, and with nearly 30,000 horsepower blasting off of the line, the spectators are in for a great show. Along with a new event comes new rules, and NHRA made new rules for this amazing event.
Rules
• Qualifying will be conducted using four lanes
• Each category winner will be determined in three rounds of eliminations
