Mike Janis Racings’ New 2013 Camaro Pro Mod Nears Completion

[1]
The announcement that Mike Janis was parting ways with his Ford Mustang was made in the latter part of 2012, and also at that time it was made known that Race Car Specialties [2] would become the official race car and chassis supplier for Mike Janis Racing for the current year and into the future. Their first task: put Janis in the drivers’ seat of a  new 2013 Chevrolet Camaro.

Since then, the crew at Race Car Specialties in Warrren, Michigan have been hard at work, toiling away feverishly over the past couple of months in gaining anticipation as the  new 2013 Camaro comes ever closer to completion. The new ride is scheduled to debut in Gainesville within a few weeks for the NHRA Pro Modified season opener.

As the past few weeks have unfolded and the countdown to Gainesville is closing in, sneak peeks and details of the build have been shared regularly on the Race Car Specialties FaceBook page and on the popular forum, Yellowbullet. Fans of both Mike Janis Racing and RCS, or just the curious, have been able to watch as the new Camaro materializes. On Monday, all of that hard work by the Race Car Specialties team commenced, as Janis and his team picked up their brand new Camaro and headed back to New York to begin assembling the car and adorning it in the K100 fuel Treatment colors. Next stop: Gainesville.
