In a blockbuster announcement this morning, it was released that MOMO and WELD Racing would be joining forces to create a global presence in the aftermarket world. Both of these companies are titans in the wheel market producing a wide range of products for different applications. Each company has a massive portfolio of brands that span both the performance and motorsports markets.

This joint effort will allow both of these technologically advanced companies to use their combined knowledge to produce even better products for customers.  The senior leadership of each company will remain intact as they begin to operate as one unit. The business deal won’t change how either MOMO or WELD operate as a brand. For WELD, they will keep producing wheels at their Kansas City manufacturing facility.

WELD was previously a portfolio company of Chicago-based investment group Granite Creek Capital Partners, L.L.C., which supported WELD’s decades-long commitment to dominate the highly competitive racing and maximum-performance wheel markets. The transaction will not disrupt the operation of either the WELD or MOMO brands, and WELD will maintain its Midwestern manufacturing facility in Kansas City.
