The highly-decorated Cummings Motorsports team has a heavy schedule of sportsman races and big money bracket races that takes them across the country to race, and so they rely on the best equipment available to turn on the win lights. The team recently competed in the Summit Sportsman National event at San Antonio Raceway in Texas, where they were able to pick up wins in three different classes with the help of their Moser Engineering products.
At the San Antonio Summit Sportsman National Championship event, Britt Cummings, his son Cole Cummings, and brother Slate Cummings all were behind the wheel in different cars during the weekend. Slate was able to pick up wins in Stock with his 2000 Corvette and in Super Stock racing a 2003 Cavalier. Cole scored his first win of the year in IHRA competition racing in the 10.90 index class of Hot Rod with his 1966 Chevy II. Britt raced in both Stock and Super Comp but came up just a bit short in his attempts to join the rest of the family in the winner’s circle.
According to Britt, picking up this trifecta of wins at San Antonio was made easier with all the Moser products on each car. “The Moser brakes I would say are the biggest key. We’ve been doing some development and testing for them and have stumbled onto something that is just great with these brakes. The brakes make bumping in and staging the cars very easy, and are a huge help when it comes to finish line driving in each car. The brakes are very dependable, don’t have any fade, feel consistent, and allow us to run closer to our number each pass.”
