Design Engineering’s Titanium Exhaust Pipe Shield

These high temperature pipe shields from Design Engineering Inc are a great option for those building wild turbocharged combinations in tight quarters. The standoff design offers an air gap that makes this setup extremely effective in blocking heat. With five different sizes available, it makes it a versatile product that would be a great addition for any race car or high-performance street car.

Official Release:

When the ultimate in heat protection is required, DEI is the solutions provider. DEI’s Titanium Pipe Shield developed with evolutionary LR Technology provides maximum protection outperforming traditional Mylar-backed glass fiber shields.

Extreme direct or radiant heat can damage transmissions, brake lines, wiring and hoses. DEI’s Titanium Shield clamps directly to any size exhaust pipe – auto, marine or motorcycle, to provide spot protection of sensitive electrical components, lines, cables, wires, transmissions and fire walls. Only DEI’s Titanium Pipe Shield combines a unique riveted “stand-off” design using 3.5” stainless steel clamps that provide a cooling air gap between the shield and the pipe. Combined with the heat dissipation benefits of the 2 ply material made with LR Fiber Technology, this unique design and material combination provides heat protection up to 1350°F. Mylar covered shields begin to flake or crack at 900°F.

DEI has now introduced two smaller sizes: 8” L x 4” W (part #020303) and 12” L x 4” W (part #020304) that can be used in combination with DEI’s existing offer of 1’ L x 6” W, 2’ L x 6” W and 3’ L x 6” W shields to be strategically placed on or near exhaust pipes, brake lines, near transmissions or gas tanks – any place where extreme heat can cause damage.

 Features:

  • Protects up to 1,350-degrees
  • Unique 2-ply design
  • Five sizes available
