The Gear drive cover is machined from solid billet 2024-T3 aluminum. The cam gear and crank gear are machined from heat treated 4340 steel and are finished ground after heat treating. The crank gear is double keyed 180 degrees apart and comes with nine bolt holes for precise timing. The idler gears are machined from 9310 steel with outer bearing race machined into the gear for high load roller bearing. Cam end play is adjusted with precision steel shims from .002-.032. The two-piece cam cover has machined grooves on its backside for an o-ring seal and easy cam swaps without having to use silicone or a gasket. -12 fitting threads are machined in to the cover for water pump plumbing. Part number 251100-0001 Options include ; Open cam cover to allow for installation of RCD cam covers with direct bolt-on fuel pumps, mag drives with cam sync, offset drives, and tri drives, crank supports, crank triggers, starter drives and pump extensions.
