GZ Motorsports, a company mainly known for their high end vacuum pumps for street and race engines, also does fine work with pulleys as well. That’s why it comes as no surprise to learn about their latest offering, a 1-inch crank mandrel designed for use on LSX engines with an aftermarket balancer, and in need of an extra pulley to drive an accessory such as vacuum pump or alternator.
LSX CM200B Crank Shaft Mandrel
GZ Motorsports LLC announces the release for sale of our brand new 1” crank mandrel specifically designed for use on the late model LS engines using an after market balancer such as the ATI balancer. This mandrel is for use on LSX engines that have at least 5” clear in front of the balancer and require pulleys to drive alternators, vacuum pumps, fuel pumps etc. With the location of the pulley’s being determined by the user. The LSX mandrel, part number CM200B, bolts to the face of the balancer using the 3 bolt holes that are located per traditional Chevrolet specifications. ATI specifically states that this is a requirement for their balancers. The mandrel comes with a 4” long spacer that is cut to fit by the user and sections placed between the pulley’s in order to correctly space them, plus an end cap and end cap bolt. GZ Motorsports LLC also offers three gilmer pulley’s for standard ½” wide X 3/8” pitch gilmer belts (14 tooth, 21 tooth and 28 tooth) as well as two v-belt pulley’s (3.5” & 4.5”).
