NMCA Releases 2014 Schedule Featuring Return To St. Louis

ProMedia Events has revealed its 2014 Flowmaster NMCA Muscle Car Nationals series schedule today, featuring six points-paying events, along with one stand-alone special event. The NMCA will once again be partnering with Chevrolet Performance to contest the LSX Challenge Series at three events, while the Aerospace Components NHRA Unleashed program, which awards coveted NHRA “Wally” trophies to class winners, will return at all NHRA Member facilities that the series visits in 2014.

Highlighting the 2014 schedule is the return of the Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, Illinois – just a short drive across the river from downtown St. Louis. Missouri. The Gateway facility was previously the home of the NMCA’s season-ending World Street Finals, and next year’s Quick Fuel Technologies NMCA Muscle Car Nationals, which will feature the Dave Duell Nostalgia Super Stock Classic on the weekend of May 23-25, will mark the first time the NMCA has visited the midwest mecca since the finale in October of 2010.

NMCA racers will kick off the year, as always, at the Bradenton Motorsports Park in Florida the weekend of March 20-23, featuring the Big Buck Bracket Challenge as part of the weekend festivities. From there, the series will travel north to the Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia for the NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals, the first of two combo races, on April 10-13. After St. Louis in late May, the tour will roll into Chciago’s Route 66 Raceway for the most prestigious event of the year – the annual NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing – on the weekend of July 10-13.

The Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio will host the NMCA, featuring the Detroit Big 3 Shootout and Chevrolet Performance LSX Challenge Series, on August 21-24, with the season-ending NMCA World Street Finals and the annual Chevrolet Performance LSX Shootout bringing the year to a close at the Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis, October 9-12.

ProMedia will also contest the 3^rd Annual Chevy High Performance Nationals Presented by Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center, featuring the Chevrolet Performance LSX Challenge Series, at the Atlanta Dragway on May 30-June 1.
