NMRA Renegade racer Valerie Clements has announced that she, along with her brother Alton, will be teaming up with Air Flow Research for the remainder of the 2016 season — a partnership that she hopes will lead to even greater power numbers in her 2005 Ford Mustang. Clements has been on a tear so far this season in NMRA competition, gradually gaining more data and lowering personal bests each time out with her Renegade entry. Following her runner-up finish at the recent NMRA Super Nationals in Columbus, Clements announced that Air Flow Research has come onboard to support her familys’ team.

Her Ford Mustang is packing a 360 cubic inch small-block Ford punch under the hood, with an F1-A ProCharger peeking through the front bumper of the late model Mustang. The ‘Stang features a set of Air Flow Research 220 cylinder heads that were bolted on at the beginning of the season when the NMRA kicked off in Bradenton, Florida.

Air Flow Research has been in the market of performance cylinder heads, intake manifolds and more for over 45 years, and with their latest lines of cylinder heads on the market, their dedication to finding the most horsepower and torque is unmatched,, with their numbers on the flow bench, in the dyno room and on the scoreboards.

Valerie seems right at home in the Renegade class and is looking to make a strong finish to the '16 season in the NMRA.

At Columbus, Valerie clocked a career best with a 7.65 at over 176 miles per hour and recorded her best finish in NMRA competition, a runner-up, to Chuck Bartholme.

After her career-best weekend, Clements responded, “AFR has been a part of my car since the beginning of 2016. With the new partnership, we look to improve more on the elapsed times at each race, which we’ve done at every event thus far in 2016. Without the help of AFR, Racers Evolved, my father, Alton Clements, Sr., and my entire family, along with the rest of our supporters, this wouldn’t be possible,” she says.

With a few races to go on the schedule, look for Clements to continue the hot streak leading into the NMCA/NMRA Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing upcoming on July 28-31 at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois. For more information on what Air Flow Research can do for you, visit them online.
