Every racer dreams of going rounds and picking up the win at their local track, but imagine if you had the chance to sit in the winner’s circle at one of the biggest events of the year. That’s what will happen to a lucky few at Outlaw Armageddon [2]. For the 2017 edition of this No Prep mega-race the cap of 350 racers is expected to be hit, with many of them being weekend warriors that just love to race in the Open classes. Now, those racers have the chance to win on the biggest stage in No Prep and get some huge recognition.

Outlaw Armageddon will be packed with many of the biggest names in No Prep along with the stars of Street Outlaws, but the Open class racers are the backbone of this event. These racers will enjoy the opportunity to race in front of thousands of fans at Thunder Valley Raceway Park [3] and even more on the SpeedVideo broadcast across the globe. For them, this truly is their World Series, Super Bowl, and Stanley Cup all wrapped up into one event.

Thunder Valley Raceway Park’s Nick Duty has been helping put this event on since it started and he sees the potential opportunities the race provides to the Open Class racers. “Most of these racers are normal people who are not only racing for the money but the chance at changing their racing lives. The publicity, sponsorship opportunities, marketing materials, and other benefits that come from winning the biggest No Prep in the world are priceless. This race will be seen by millions of people between the live event, SpeedVideo broadcast, highlight videos, pictures, and social media posts.”

This kind of platform is why there will be so many racers at Outlaw Armageddon trying to pick up round wins any way they can. The Open class racers all understand the level of competition that this event brings, and that makes the racing even more exciting whether it’s the first round or final round Saturday night under the lights. Every Open Class racer who buys a tech card for Outlaw Armageddon wants to be part of the rich history of the event and be called a champion.

“Outlaw Armageddon is the biggest stage in No Prep. The drivers that are able to navigate their way through toughest racers in the country will not only have bragging rights, but they will be able to reinvest in their racing programs. The $20,000 prize money, the notoriety from social media, and the exposure from the SpeedVideo live stream that reaches hundreds of thousands of people and potential sponsors can change the course of someone’s racing operation in one day,” Duty says.
