“10-4” Tony Ridenour decided to make some changes during the summer this year to look for some more power and increased reliability after having some issues with the previous combination. Tony had been running a modified version of his 632 cubic inch nitrous engine with a F3R ProCharger on alcohol. The new set up will be a reduced stroke 588 ci. piece with a new aluminum block featuring a smaller 4.560 bore size as well.
The bottom end features a 4.5 stroke Bryant crankshaft, GRP aluminum rods and Diamond hard anodized pistons. They will re-use the same 18* Big Chief style heads on top. The shorter stroke of the new engine will allow an increase in RPM above the 8200 RPM the old piece was running, without suffering reliability problems inherent with a longer arm crank.
The fabrication for the switch was handled by Bodley Fabrication in Pinellas Park, Florida. Bodley built the car and has done most of the work on it since. The engine and blower changes should result in a smoother application of power for more consistency as well. Look for Tony and the Fast Forward Race Engines crew at The Radial Revolution this October 22-23 at SGMP and other Drag Radial/Limited Street events coming up.

Yes that’s right, Tony is switching to gasoline as well and the water tank is in the back under the hatch. The car works well so there are no real changes to the suspension
