The Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) revealed its eight race 2017 event calendar today at the season-ending World Finals Brian Olson Memorial Race in Dinwiddie, Virginia, featuring a mixture of new and returning venues and even a couple that the series has visited in previous seasons.
The PDRA’s fourth year of operation will kick off March 10-11 at a track near and dear to doorslammer racers and one that the PDRA has been to previously, the South Georgia Motorsports Park, before the series works its way into the Carolinas in April and May with a stop at the all-new Galot Motorsports Park March 31-April 1 and the fabled Darlington Dragway May 19-20.
The hot, summer portion of the schedule will open at the Maryland International Raceway on June 2-3, followed by the PDRA’s first-ever visit to the historic Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis on July 14-15. Racers will wind their way westward to the Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park on August 11-12, before closing out the season on the East coast, with the penultimate stop at Galot Motorsports Park on September 8-9 and the now-traditional season finale at the Virginia Motorsports Park on October 20-21.
