The final episode of SPEED’s drag-racing reality show, PINKS All Out, will air tonight at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. Run at Firebird International Raceway, just outside Phoenix, host and executive producer, Rich Christensen, will arm-drop more than 400 grassroots drag racers through the event.
First started in 2006, PINKS All Out went on to become one of the network’s most popular original series for four seasons. As a spin-off from the original PINKS series, the first All Out episode saw record ratings as well as the show’s first winner, Chris Cruce of Ft. Worth, TX, become the first female racer to take home the $10,000 winning prize.
Christensen has performed more than 30,000 arm drops during the series, and the on-air technical crew has hosted more than 10,000 grassroots drag racers from across North America. The show visited over 30 different tracks from West Palm Beach, FL to Seattle, WA.
PINKS All Out served to rejuvenate interest in grass roots racing throughout the country. Events were often sold out and the stands filled with spectators, much to the benefit of struggling local tracks.
Christensen continues to work in conjunction with SPEED as executive producer of two newer shows; Pass Time and Drag Race High.
