Project Grandma is our most popular build ever: a 1978 G-Body from Pasadena (literally) that we took from an old beater to a 25.5 chassis’d stock-suspension monster. With a 555ci Edelbrock street crate engine, we ran mid 10’s at almost 130 mph all motor. That engine has been stolen for another brand new project car that has yet to be released (you’ll dig it though), and we’ve got a new power plant being wedged into Granny’s pants.
Coming from World Products is a custom built race engine – 565 cubic inches, 16-degree cylinder heads, 13.0:1 compression, and 985 naturally aspirated horsepower. We’re shooting for 9.30s all-motor this time, and hopefully owner James Lawrence can actually reclaim back his NHRA license that he earned but let expire after blowing up his 9-second Mustang for the 9th time. That’s a long story, we don’t want to get into.
Anyways, a Project Grandma update is coming, but in the meantime, check out our Swap Pics and the entire Grandma Build if you dig it.
