The annual Race & Performance Expo is headed back to St. Charlies, Illinois for its eighth rendition the weekend of February 14th and 15th at the sprawling Pheasant Run Resort, and once again, the halls are expected to be jam-packed with muscle car, drag racing, circle track, and offroad truck enthusiasts.
The Race & Performance Expo, which has grown to become one of the largest automotive aftermarket shows that’s open to the public in the country, features the Expo itself in the Pheasant Run’s expansive convention hall, with all of the top manufacturers in the industry, including Edelbrock, Comp Cams, Dart Machinery, Strange Engineering, Billet Specialties, VP Racing Fuels, and many more showcasing their latest and great products. Located just across the street at the DuPage Expo Center is the popular Circle Track Expo, with everything from dirt spring cars and late models to asphalt karts and even circle track racing boats, along with a host of manufacturers set up to help you find the parts you need for the new racing season.
This year’s show also see a return of the Car Builder’s Showcase, which delivers some of the finest muscle car and classic car machinery you’ll find anywhere, from some of the top custom car builders and restorers in the midwest. As well, a user of informative seminars will be hosted by the very manufacturers exhibiting at the show on a range of topics, and the always-entertaining Hot Rodders of Tomorrow engine build-off competition will run throughout the weekend.
As added attractions, the face of Edelbrock himself, Vic Edelbrock, will be in attendance to sign autographs and meet and greet with show attendees, while Mark Pappas Motorsports and Alston Race Cars will have the famed “Grumpy’s Toy XVI” 1979 Camaro Pro Stocker on display.
The Expo is, as always, open to the public, with $15 admission on Saturday, February 14th and $10 on Sunday the 15th. A free shuttle service will run for the entirety of the show between the Race & Performance Expo and the Circle Track Expo.
