If you’re looking to get into the ultra-competitive world of Outlaw 10.5 racing, now is your chance, because one of the quickest cars in the class is for sale. Richard Sexton and his 2006 Pontiac GTO have been turning on win lights and setting records for a number of years, and now the feared ‘Goat’ is up for sale.
Sexton’s late model GTO is one of the more unique cars in small-tire racing and turned heads with its great looks and guttural roar of an exhaust note that the screw blower combo produced on each pass. Last year, the GTO with Sexton behind the wheel became the first Outlaw 10.5 car in the United States to smash the three-second barrier 1/8–mile, and reset the 1/4 mile record as well with a blistering 6.08 at over 238 mph.
The for sale ad on RacingJunk is basic, but it gets to the point on what you get when the car is purchased. The 25.2 certified chassis is equipped with a Mark Williams fabricated 9-inch rear end and brakes at all four corners to bring the GTO to a snappy stop after a three-second blasts down the track. Santhuff shocks and struts are included with the car to help put the big power down on each pass. The Pontiac has also been put on a healthy diet with a carbon fiber front end, doors, and rear deck lid that’s covered with fresh paint.
It appears that the car is just for sale as a rolling chassis, which begs the question, if you purchased this red-hot ride, what power plant would you stick between the frame rails? Check out the full RacingJunk.com ad here for details on this histori ride.
