SEMA 2011: Race Star Industries Supports the Weekend Warrior

[1]We stopped by the Race Star Industries [2] booth at this year’s SEMA Tradeshow in Las Vegas to talk with Co-owners Mike Rabich and Mike Herzog. Founding the company in 2009, these longtime veterans of the aftermarket wheel industry set out to design and sell wheels to the weekend warrior and grass roots racer.

We listened to the people and we became the people’s wheel.

“We didn’t want to be just another wheel company,” said Rabich, adding “We listened to the people and we became the people’s wheel.” Setting their goals of affordability, versatility, style and design, Race Star Industries now has a line of wheels that includes lines that are IHRA and NHRA approved.

Even with the top series approvals, Rabich says they really strive to support the weekend racers in the NMRA.

Race Star’s line of wheels are single piece cast units that not only meet the company’s goals of affordability and versatility but also meet the high standards of the owners who have 40 years of combined experience making and selling wheels.

The company’s Drag Star line are a light weight 1-piece alloy wheel that features massive brake clearance for the big caliper brakes that many of the racers use today. Topping off these features is the lifetime structural warranty on the very popular street/strip wheel.

According to Rabich the newest product in the stable is the Drag Star Dark Star wheels. “The Dark Star process is second to none,” Rabich says. “It’s a black chrome effect that is manufactured without any electrolysis involved. The result is an extremely durable finish that we have placed a two year warranty on,” he adds.

The Drag Star Dark Star wheel features the same light weight design and lifetime structural warranty that the other Race Star wheels feature with the addition of the black chrome effect.

If you’re in the market for an affordable wheel with street/strip capabilities, Race Star Industries Drag Star wheels are worth taking a look at.
