"We are working with our friends from Top Speed Performance from the U.A.E. We have been dealing with them for a little while now and they are great people. They are in the same business as we are and its amazing how much volume they move over there in a country that is nowhere near our size." - Mike Stavrinos

Outlaw 10.5 racer Mike Stavrinos and Speed and Truck World sold the Corvette last year and are headed to ADRL’s Extreme Ten Five class for 2010 with a 68 Camaro built by Sheppard Race Cars [3]. The Covington, Georgia based shop is well known for quality work and small tire setups. “I have seen plenty of their work and I know we will have one of the baddest cars out there,”  said Mike Stavrinos.

Once again Stavrinos Motorsports will go with Nelson Competition [4] for the engine. This one will be a 5.300 bore center billet block from Chuck Nuyten – billet wedge heads, billet runner manifold fabricated in house, split Braswell carbs, Jeff Johnson Billet Fabrication 2 piece oil pan, a Moroso oiling system and five stages of nitrous from Induction Solutions. The latest technology and lightweight parts will be used throughout the build which is expected to be completed in 4-5 weeks.

For 2010 the Stavrinos Motorsports team plans to attend as many races as possible starting with Mike Hill’s $100,000 Automatic Pro Mod race where Mike is slated to drive Jeff Paulk’s recently repaired Camaro. After that, some ADRL events and then compete for the points in XTF next year. The core of the team consists of Mike and Dino Stavrinos, Kris Nelson and Chris Lunsford. Given their past performance they should be a force to be reconed with where ever they go.
