A recent poll was taken on the worst tracks around: read on to see the winner of this infamous crown.
YellowBullet.com took a the poll on the worst tracks around… and you know that nobody there will hold back. The bottom list was — many racers got to chime in on where they thought the worst drag strip resided.
Seventeen tracks were all brought up at least one time in this poll, some only once, a few more than once, and the champion coming in with more than double the votes of the runner up. Dragway 42 in Ohio won this infamous title of being the worst strip out there. Some comments of Dragway 42 were, “the track surface is terrible!” and “your car looks like you were off roading by the time you leave!”.
Three different tracks tied for second place with a score of three each- definitely got beat by Dragway 42’s seven votes.
Dragway 42 is located in West Salem Ohio. They first opened this track back in 1957, and since then have ran many different classes. They have ran semi trucks, jet semi trucks, and open jets- along with the common Pro Stock, Funny Cars, and Top Fuel Dragsters. Maybe one day we will see this track take a turn for the good and come out as one of the top tracks around.
