Tony Christian’s Nitrous Pro-Mod Up For Sale – New Car Coming Soon?

[1]While it may not be much of a secret now that Pro-Street legends as well as career rivals Pat Musi and Tony Christian are set for a grudge match down at PBIR come March, a real shocker hit us today while browsing through the massive amounts of impressive race cars seeking new owners on Racingjunk – none other than Tony Christian’s Pontiac appeared in the Pro-Modified section along with a healthy asking price of $145,000.

Could Tony have an all new surprise for Musi come March? We’re almost certain Tony won’t back down from a race like that, but selling this car presumably leaves him with no wheels, making us wonder what kind of trick he has up his sleeve for the big race. Could he have a new car ready to go that we just don’t know about?

When Musi laid down a 5.99 run in Bradenton last week it made Christian almost appear as an underdog as he can usually be found in the 6.1-6.2xx elapsed time area. What will come a short month from now is still unknown; if the sale of this car goes through we’ll be expecting an announcement, or possibly a new car unveiling from Christian shortly.

Nevertheless, Christian’s car is packing a big punch with an 820 C.I. Reher Morrison [3] engine with a healthy hit of the sauce coming from a Speedtech [4] 4 stage nitrous system. Using either a Bruno Lenco transmission or Rossler [5] Turbo Glide, Christian states that it’ll go 6-teens in NMCA Pro-Street trim no questions asked. Last three times on-track the car went 4.00-4.03 to the 1/8th mile marker and was the fastest nitrous car in Orlando as well as at the US Nationals in Bradenton. Whomever the new owner will be will definitely be purchasing a proven setup.
