There’s no doubt that the hit TV show Street Outlaws has given drag racing a healthy shot in the arm when it comes to popularity. When the stars of the show make an appearance at a track or event they pack the house, and now have started to inspire tribute race cars. Skull Crusher Adventures caught the tribute truck “Mini Farm Truck” at the 2015 Houston Performance Trucks Shootout that pays homage to the wheel standing star of Street Outlaws.
The Mini Farm Truck is a Chevy Luv that packs almost as much punch as its inspiration from the 405. Jesus, the owner built this truck out of his love (no pun intended) for the show and how the crew from OKC is keeping an interest in drag racing. Under the hood, Jesus is very coy about how big the motor is, just saying it has “a few cubic inches”. Adding the power just like the full size Farm Truck is a giant hit of giggle juice from a Nitrous Express plate kit.
The real Farm Truck and Mini Farm Truck both have a great sleeper vibe about them until the tree drops and the action starts. On the first pass in this great video you can see just how hard the Mini Farm Truck leaves as it gets a bit out of shape and still runs a 9.27. On the second pass the truck leaves straight and makes a clocks-off pass, going 141 mph out the back door.
