EKanoo Racing driver Khalid Mohammed was uninjured today in a terrifying crash in Bahrain when his turbocharged Lexus when over the guardrail and barrel rolled several times before coming to a rest.
In the video that’s been making its way around the web, you can see Kanoo’s white Lexus power into a massive and almost instantaneous wheelstand from which Mohammed was unable to recover, and from which the car turned and went over the concrete guardrail. catching the fencing that lines the Bahrain International Circuit’s drag strip. Mohammed’s car went end-over-end along the top of the fence, slicing the car apart as it went in a scene that one would be hard-pressed to believe a driver could escape from unscathed.
Fortunately, EKanoo Racing tuner Shane Tecklenburg confirmed what had already been reported, that Mohammed indeed was uninjured in the crash.
The scene is quite reminiscent of Radial versus The World racer DeWayne Mills’ scary incident last weekend at Lights Out 6 in Georgia, when his turbocharged Camaro went nearly vertical, eventually slamming down on top of the wall and coming down on all fours.
