Grudge racing is still one of the wild parts of drag racing where you have to be able to run your car hard and be a smooth talker to get some action. With a colorful language all its own and racers and vehicles with wild nicknames, you can see why the grudge scene has such a rabid following. 

Grudge Inc puts on some of the biggest grudge races in the country and their recent World Outlaw Grudge Nationals held at San Antonio Raceway was no exception with big actionm including this Fox body mustang that went for a wild ride. 

The World Grudge Nationals gave the racers an amazing opportunity to run the best in the grudge game, and deliverd the fans a killer show. Over the course of the weekend there was a fireworks show, a concert and a big bike show that featured all kinds of two wheel eye candy. The on-track action was even bigger with index racing, hundreds of grudge cars, a back half car shootout, and a Pro Mod shootout.

With all of these grudge cars in one place, the smack talk flies, when the smack talk flies people stay in it to win it, and sometimes that ends bad. This Mustang starts to make a move towards the tree right at the hit. As the car goes down the track it keeps heading towards the centerline, out of the groove, and into the no prep zone of the track.  The car makes a gnarly move to the left and the driver throws everything at it trying to save it, but to no avail, as the car snaps back to the right and goes on it’s lid as it slides across the track. To make matters worse the car makes contact with the right wall and catches on fire. The good news, however, is the driver was able to climb from the car unharmed, the track crew saved the car from additional fire damage, and the word on the street is the Mustang can be saved and will be back.
