Video: JPC’s 2011 Mustang Dyno Run Nets 847 RWHP

Justin Burcham and the rest of the Ford-minded gearheads at JPC Racing up in Maryland rolled their familiar in-house 2011 Mustang GT – with a barrage on the eight’s in mind – onto the dyno last week to crank off some numbers, and that they did. If you’ll recall, this was the first 2011 5.0L Mustang to run in the 10’s – a feat to Burcham and his team accomplished just one day after receiving the highly anticipated new Pony car last year. But it certainly isn’t the same car today.

The JPC Mustang now features a plethora of aftermarket components, right down to the engine block. A JPC/RGR short block and CNC heads comprise the heart of the beast, with a Paxton Novi 2200 supercharger and Paxton air-to-air intercooler providing the boost, all controlled by a Diablosport Trinity tuner. A set of JPC long tube headers feed to a JPC X-pipe and Bassani mufflers.

The more than 900 horses is transferred through the factory Tremec Magnum six-speed transmission to a McLeod RSX twin-disc clutch, McLeod aluminum flywheel, and a JPC one piece aluminum driveshaft.

Under the car, you’ll find a 9-inch rear housing with 35-spline Strange axles and spool and 4.30 gears, while Metco lower control arms, Racecraft upper arm and mount, Eibach springs and adjustable shocks and struts, and a set of Strange race brakes round out the suspension.

Check out the video as this badass machine cranks out just under 850 rear wheel horsepower on what the JPC crew hopes to be an eight-second pass.
