Video: Turbocharged 331ci Fox Body Makes 740 rwhp

Once the realm of import tuners and diesel trucks, turbocharging technology has filtered its way into the mainstream, moreso now than ever. Ford’s line of turbocharged EcoBoost engines are incredibly popular with consumers, and aftermarket turbo kits for cars like the Mustang can reward buyers with big, big, BIG power.

[1]And there is just something so special about the sound of a small-block V8 spooling up a moderately turbocharger. So when we came across this video of a Ford Mustang packing a 76mm turbo that is making 16 psi, we just had to share it with you, our dear readers.

According to the YouTube description, this Fox-body Mustang is packing a 331 cubic-inch stroker motor backed by a LenTech AOD automatic transmission.

This Mustang was tuned by Frank at PSI Speed Solutions in Pennsylvania, and on the race tune these guys put down 740 horsepower and 720 ft-lbs of torque at the wheels. Impressive, right? But even on 93 octane pump gas and just 16 lbs of boost, this Mustang still made 650 horsepower and 660 ft-lbs of torque.

But what this car all boils down to is that Earth-shattering sound, that roaring, angry V8 sucking down air and spitting out power. If the Devil drove a Mustang, it would probably be this one.
